I’m in Canada and looking to buy a security camera for my home. I’m thinking about:
- 3 cameras
- Wireless with good battery life
- HD video at least, maybe night vision?
- Cloud storage (no subscriptions please lol)
- Budget around $350 Canadian or less.
I’m in Canada and looking to buy a security camera for my home. I’m thinking about:
Reolink for wifi / solar.
As others have said, it’s not better than wired.

It will suffice?

For what you’re asking and the price, it will get the job done.
Why are you choosing wireless?

If the tutorial I gave you still looks like it was written in Chinese, then you can always hire someone to do it for you.
Other than that, if you’re ready to deal with the problems of using a WiFi camera, Reolink and Eufy are probably the best brands that offer WiFi models.

Wireless cameras have many issues. They’re prone to WiFi jammers, you might miss events, can’t record 24/7 (unless you get certain brands and extra equipment), they have low performance, bad quality, and more. They aren’t reliable.
If you can, choose a wired PoE option.
Here’s a quick tutorial:
Buy a cat 5e or cat 6 cable, preferably 100% copper. You can get these already assembled, with an RJ45 connector on each end.
Get an NVR with PoE outputs or a PoE Switch, and buy a PoE camera.
Plug it in like this: Router → PoE Switch or NVR with PoE → Camera.
Done. Your camera is working.
@Logan
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
