Best self-defense weapon when turning 18?

Consider a DeWalt 60v electric chainsaw. There’s nothing more terrifying than hearing a chainsaw rev up when you’re not expecting it!

A pump-action shotgun is great for home defense. For rifles, a 300 blackout or 7.62 round is better than 5.56 for close-range encounters. Check out this article on over-penetration for more info: [Study] Home Defense Overpenetration: Shotgun, Handgun, Rifle - Pew Pew Tactical

@Sage
Thanks for sharing! I’ll give it a read.

Start with a good monitoring system, pepper spray, and alarms. Selling or giving a firearm to someone under 18 in Wisconsin is a felony, so be careful.

That’s why I mentioned I’ll be 18 in a few days. Still, it’s confusing seeing all these sources say I could get a handgun from a private sale but not from a store.

@Aubrey
I’m not sure about private sale laws, but I cringed when you mentioned ‘less lethal handguns.’ That can go wrong real quick.

I don’t see why. I’ve seen ones that can cause serious damage, and in tight situations, it seems safer than going straight to lethal force.

Most likely, if you ever use a gun, you’ll end up in jail. Be careful.
