Looking at this pistol and wondering:
- Is it a good one to buy?
- Who has experience with it? What do you use it for?
- How’s the trigger?
Looking at this pistol and wondering:
They changed the grip texture, slide serrations, and added an optics cut. Otherwise, it’s the same gun it has been for over 10 years.
Here’s me shooting my well-used P-07, which I’ve carried, competed with, and used for home defense:

What really blew my mind… 2017 was 7 years ago.

Nope, I have a CGW pro package installed.
@Winter
Any modifications? The only thing that bothers me is the long trigger reset. I know there’s a short-reset kit, but haven’t tried it yet.

Full CGW pro package, CZC HTAC sights, and a 507K milled.
Home Defense? Or EDC?
#YES
Guns.com already inflated the price for the P-09C from $621 yesterday to $741 today.

Sellers always try to scalp people with FOMO when something new comes out. Just wait a bit, and prices will drop.
This is brand new. Just hit the market. I think very few people have it yet.
For home defense, I’d get a full-size steel-frame pistol like the SP-01. For EDC, a polymer frame is better.

Polymer is lighter and allows for flex, while metal frames are heavier with less felt recoil. If a polymer frame cracks, though, it’s harder to fix.
Why not both?
I just want the optic-ready slide to throw on my existing P-07.

Send your slide to Wager Machine Works if you want it milled for a red dot.
What’s a P-09C? Is it just a P-07 or a whole new gun?

Basically, it’s a P-07 with upgrades.
I daily carry an older P-07 Urban Grey that I had milled for an EPS Carry optic. It’s an absolute tank of a gun—runs anything I feed it with ease. The double-action trigger pull is a little rough, but after the first shot, the single-action is crisp.
Ian from Forgotten Weapons was shooting it, and it looked snappy as hell. Even the P-09 wasn’t much better in his hands.
