Post deleted, but I’m guessing this was about different layers of home defense. What do you guys use?
@Finn
I have that one!
@Finn
Great read, really solid info.
Good thing most self-defense situations happen at close range, so no need to aim that rifle!

Just go full Hollywood—tracer rounds and firing from the hip!

Haha, ‘optics ready’… I did finally install the optic I picked up. Need to zero it still. Curious what other M400 owners are using for iron sights.
@Kieran
I just use Sig’s tread irons. They’re solid. I have them on Daniel Defense canted mounts right now. Troy makes nice ones too.
Heads up though—you’ll need Sig’s specific picatinny rail section for the front sight post. Standard Magpul rails won’t line up with the M400’s upper receiver.
@Corey
Good to know! Appreciate it.
Oranges are built different. Good choice.

Appreciate the link, I needed this
The tan one isn’t home defense… the tan one owns the home. You’re just the servant keeping it safe. You failed once, and he had to step in by attacking that pitbull. Better learn your place.

Haha, for real. It’s my friend’s dog, super friendly, but our very friendly orange cat, ‘Corndog,’ took one look and went full berserker mode. Flying paws and a yelping pit before we even knew what happened.
I once found one of those old self-defense books from the back of Soldier of Fortune magazine. It literally had instructions on how to throw a cat at an attacker feet first so it would claw them up.
@Dakota
I’m dying imagining a 1960s black-and-white training video of this.
That’s a Gato-9L in tactical orange.
Do you have a carry permit for that cat?
